Pictures of Home

I thought ya'll might be wondering what our place looks like. We live in a two-room hut. The front room is our library, living room, and kitchen. The back room has our computer desk, clothes closet, bed, and bathroom. It's a small space, but we've managed to make it feel homey and not too cluttered. Let your imaginations run wild if you want to continue to create your own idea of how we are living, but this is the reality for those of you who want a peace of mind!

You have a beautiful home! And it's bright and airy and huge! (OK, my perspective might be different from others here in the U.S. [grin])

Was the furniture in the photos made by babe Twala and his student?

I see the golden glow on your house that I mentioned in one of the emails. "The sun makes beautiful people" Selibantu bahle.

I love how Jamie, living up to the idea that these photos are a slice of your daily life, doesn't look up from the computer. Way to stay in character, Jamie, it gives it a Wes Anderson feel. And thanks for these photos, Jamie.

Hey, you two! Thank you for posting about your time there....I miss you both and really appreciate being able to see your experience (in part) and read about it. Also (this is very important) Josh, and Todd, and I went to Westport yesterday, prompted by a stellar report and a long spell away from the sea. The day was spent at the groins with sunlight through broken, light clouds. It was quite nice, really. We paddled out the to the first finger after we saw some peaks forming, but in reality we spent the better part of the next two and a half hours waiting and catching the occasional set. There was some action in the next pool, but it was crowded and I haven't surfed since April in La Push. Most important is that we were thinking of you and wishing you could be there. Todd and Josh wanted me to say hi. Are you checking e-mail....that might be a better place for me to write you. Please let me know. You guys rock!

It actually looks comfortable. I've lived in smaller condition in the US just fine. Space optimization and prohibit clutter by not keeping unnecessary items keeps it feeling roomy and cozy. The conditions actually look much nicer than I had initially imagined.
